What is PUR Hot Melt Glue？
PUR hot melt glue — short for Polyurethane Reactive hot melt adhesive — is a moisture curing hot melt adhesive widely used in furniture, panel processing and packaging lines. It is applied molten for fast initial tack, then cures through a chemical reaction with air moisture, forming a strong, cross-linked layer that will not re-melt.

Low temperature flexibility test
We bonded wood substrates with PUR hot melt glue and conducted a 48-hour low-temperature & high-humidity immersion test to simulate frigid outdoor and cold storage scenarios. After long-term testing, the adhesive layer remains intact without peeling, cracking or losing adhesion.
High temperature stability test
Stepwise thermal cycling testing ranging from room temperature up to 150°C is carried out in an oven to evaluate thermal stability. After prolonged continuous heating, the PUR hot melt adhesive retains stable bonding strength and avoids adhesive failure caused by temperature fluctuation.
PUR Hot Melt Glue Packaging & Transportation
PUR hot melt glue is a moisture-curing product, so packaging and shipping rules are mainly about keeping moisture and heat away from the adhesive.
- Packing forms — Packed in drums; goods are palletized, wrapped in stretch film, and then boxed for transport. Each batch is marked with its grade, batch number, and date of manufacture.
- Moisture protection — bags and pails are sealed against air moisture; once opened, use the adhesive promptly and reseal tightly, since PUR reacts with moisture in the air.
- Storage — keep in a cool, dry warehouse below 25–30°C, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Shelf life is typically 12 months from the production date.
- Shipping — PUR hot melt adhesives are normally non-dangerous goods for sea and road transport. Pallets are stretch-wrapped to resist humidity, and containers should avoid high-temperature exposure during transit.
